Finning, one of the world’s largest Caterpillar dealers, delivering a legacy of excellence for over 85 years, wanted to make more impact; take the world of Industrial IoT to the next level and build a platform that could deliver real-time insight across their entire operation. This vision would transform the dealership experience, positioning itself as the market leader and trusted partner across three continents.

There were multiple objectives to meet for a project of this scale. For one, it was essential to design and build an ecosystem that could improve operating efficiencies, productivity, and safety. On another, it was key to make tools that could support the delivery of projects on time and on budget to maximize equipment investment. However, as many of their current digital ecosystems were isolated, the user experience was overall fragmented.

Solution

Through our discovery workshops with Finning and harvested insights across their customer base, we found ways to maximize the impact of our technological and design efforts.

In addition, continuous discussions and concepts around predictive maintenance (addressing and limiting equipment downtime) and condition monitoring contributed to the job’s productivity and efficiency.


Enter CUBIQ™, a fully integrated digital platform by Finning that provides real-time insight across their entire operation (fleets, assets, orders, customer support, actionable data that can save millions). Not only do we believe that Finning is making significant strides in their industry, but since the launch of CUBIQ™, customer engagement has also increased. A connected platform provides Finning with continuous customer insights and loyalty, thereby making the most of their investments.
